How To Choose The Best Wedding Dress
Different styles of dresses will look different on a woman depending on her body type. So, it becomes all that much more important to actually try a dress on before you buy it. That is why I recommend shopping for a dress locally.
But before you go looking for that perfect dress at one of your local bridal boutiques, you are going to be better off if you do a little online shopping. When shopping for a dress online just do window shopping. In other words look at as many different photographs of women wearing wedding gowns as possible.
Pay close attention to the ones that have body shapes similar to your own. In fact you could even just use Google or Yahoo to do an image search for wedding dresses. Then you will get to look at a whole bunch of them on one page.
When you come across a dress that you really like, print out a picture of it. On the paper, write down the website address where you found it. When you go to your local shop, take those photos with you. Ask the sales person if they have anything that looks similar to the photos. Be sure that you let them know you intend to purchase locally. Otherwise they might get turned off when they see you are comparing their dresses to ones that can be purchased online. There is no way that a local bridal boutique is going to be able to compete on prices with an online discounter. Some business owners will not want to do business with you if they suspect that this is what you are trying to do.
The big retail outlets like David’s Bridal usually have quite a large selection of wedding dresses to look at on their websites. They will have an ample supply of wedding gowns as well as bridesmaid dresses. I suggest you start somewhere like that.
Take at least one other girl with you when you go to look at the dresses in person. Try to take someone whose opinion and fashion sense you really trust. You can trust them to be more honest than the sales person.
