Jim was nervous as hell but he delivered anyway. He had a couple drinks in advance to take the edge off. Nobody realized how much he had stressed out over delivering this short little speech to honor two of his best friends.

Best Man Speech Example
Hello everyone. I wanted to say a few words about these two love birds up here.
You might not know this but Dave met Sue at a bar. Go figure, right? Who would have thought?
It was kind of a strange introduction. One of Sue’s girlfriends was a little tipsy. It might have been (pause, raising eyebrows, looking and starting to point at maid of honor) …Oh wait. No. It wasn’t her.
Anyway, somebody bumped into Sue while she just happened to be walking by Dave. I suspect that the bump was planned because I happened to notice the two of them kind of checking each other out before hand. When Sue got bumped, her half full glass of red wine went all over Dave’s nice cream colored silk shirt. Sue was petrified. Her friends were gasping for air in between giggles.
Some day we need to hear the truth behind that.
Dave being the perfect gentleman that he is looks down at his shirt and says “What? You can hardly notice.” That is the funny part because basically his entire front area was totally drenched in wine.
Now, how the heck they went from that to this is beyond me. I must have missed something. I don’t know many other guys who would marry the first girl that threw a glass of wine on them.
The truth is that they had seen each other around campus somewhere but they never really talked until that day. When fate introduces two people to one another like this, you just know that there is something magical and powerful behind it.
Sue is quite a catch too. I can assure you that there were plenty of guys chasing her around in college. I think she outscored Dave in pretty much every class in college, except for beer keg snake bites.
But seriously, these two are perfect for each other. It is obvious that they are madly in love. It is that deep kind of love too. You can tell by the way they talk about each other and the way they treat each other.
